Winning Nano, Part Two: Don'ts

Don’t focus on the word count. I know. It’s ridiculous to suggest you not think about the 50,000 words you need to lay down by November 30 th . But when you sit down to write each day, focusing on how many words you have to go is the easiest, fastest way to cripple your progress and short-circuit your creativity. So though it might be tempting, do yourself a favor—don’t do that. And by the same token… 2. Don’t delete anything.
