Guest Post: Marcena Hooks, Writing Process Blog Tour
Having conquered the mysterious, belligerent assault on my stomach earlier this week--let's hope there's no encore performance--I hereby share Marcena Hooks' contribution to the Writing Process Blog Tour. She is excited to participate, and I gladly yield her the floor.
Take it away, Marcena!

Hi friends and readers!
I was tagged by Denise Leora Madre last week and thank her for lending me her blog today. Here are my answers to the Writing Process questions:
1. What am I working on?
I am working on my possible novel debut. It is in the early
stages and I am concentrating on finishing it before finishing other stories in
my head. I start grad school in June and know there will be plenty of writing
to do there. I am also committed to a virtual writing mentor who holds me
accountable. The quarterly newsletter for my church is also part of my
assignment.
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
My work may differ from others in its genre because what I
discuss may be taboo in the Christian community or church. My style may be more
risky than others.
3. Why do I write what I do?
I write what I do
because I am compelled to. I pray that I will allow God to use me to help and
inspire others when they read my work.
4. How does my writing process work?
My writing process works best at night when my house is
quiet. Once I start, the words flow. My challenge is getting started!
Next up, I've tagged....
Andrea Odom Campbell
Andrea Odom Campbell has made her mark on the Houston social scene as a social media enthusiast, pharmaceutical professional, mother of three active children, philanthropist, smart-ass, juggler of schedules, taxi cab driver, blogger and believer of all that is righteous and good in the world. Follow
her on Facebook or her blog as she
portrays her life, her shortcomings, her struggles with parenting, discipline,
cooking and anything else she sees fits to throw out her not-so-expert opinion
on. With a tongue-in-cheek comedic angle, she addresses the sexy and not-so-sexy
sides of being a mom, trying to balance a social life, co-parenting and keeping
sane in the midst of it all. Although she is a self-proclaimed “glass half-full person,” on any given day you might just catch her with a wineglass half-empty.
Andrea shared her writing process on Monday, so check it out!

L.A. Lewis
L.A. Lewis was hit by the writing bug in the
spring of 2009 while she was working on an independent educational project. As
she was trying to find ways to make reading more fun, her desire to write grew
bigger and stronger. L.A. gave in to those desires and started working on her
first two books consecutively. She self-published her novel "Dirty Little
Secrets" and her daily devotional "The Gift of An Abundant Life"
within weeks of each other. Both books received raved reviews. In March 2012,
she published her second novel "Dirty Little Secrets II: Expect the
Unexpected." L.A. has also written a motivational book "Why Not
Me?!" This book was written to inspire, motivate, and uplift all its
readers.
L.A. Lewis recently signed with Brown Girls Publishing. A
publishing company owned by two of her literary idols, ReShonda Tate
Billingsley and Victoria Christopher Murray. L.A's next novel "Crying on
the Inside" is expected to be released Summer 2014. Although L.A. loves the fact that she's an author, the
titles that she's most proud of are wife and mother. Her husband Cornelius and their three
children are her biggest cheerleaders. "I work hard because I want to
leave a legacy for my children and my grandchildren. I want their lives to be
ten times better than mine, and my life is really good." L.A. Lewis says. L.A. Lewis knows that this is just the beginning of her
journey. She feels that there's so much more that God wants her to do. L.A.
says she's just leaving herself open and available and allowing God to use her
any way he may choose.

Thank you for joining me for my leg of the tour. Happy writing!
Very noticeable points! Do you know today churches are involved with many welfare activities and gradually are expanding their doings. But they need loan by church mortgage for church construction in many cases too. Griffin Church Loans is the best option for all of them.
